Arctic Ocean Lodge

Arctic Ocean Lodge is fantastically located in Skjoldehamn, on the beautiful and magical Island, Andøya, in Vesterålen, the archipelago north of Lofoten.
The former fishing station has now been converted into a unique accommodation with space for up to 27 people.

On the premises, you will find two large buildings, a fisherman's cabin, a Northern Lights dome, and right in the middle of it all, Amundsen's Bar.

"Ragna-huset (Ragna House)", the first of two main buildings. You will find it on your right hand when you enter the property.
In Ragna, we have five rooms with space for a total of nine people.
 
1 x Single room with a single bed.
2 x Double room with a double bed.
2 x Doubleroom with two singlebeds. 
 
 
"The Rorbu (Fisherman's Cabin)" (2 pers.), is located directly opposite Amundsen's Bar.
The Rorbu contains two single beds in bunk format. Small kitchenette with a small refrigerator, kitchenware, and dining area. Cozy seating for two.
Private toilet (shower is taken by the sauna, 25 meters from the Rorbu).
 
 
"Brygga" (The Pier), the second mainhouse furthest down towards the water.
Brygga has five rooms and space for a total of 16 people.
 
2 x Triple room with one single and one double bed.
2 x Triple room with three single beds.
1 x Family room with two single beds and one double bed.
 
 
There are two shared bathrooms with a toilet + one shared toilet outside the rooms – in each mainhouse. 
 
Each house also has a shared kitchen (with a refrigerator, oven, stove, cooking utensils, crockery, coffee machine, kettle, as well as coffee filters, coffee, tea, and sugar). There are also pleasant common living rooms, with plenty of space to eat breakfast/dinner, and with lots of room to relax and unwind - and the rooms are decorated with a sittingarea for you to enjoy time in private.
 
 
We have many great facilities, including a bathhouse/sauna, wood-fired hot tubs, and our own private beach. 
 
 
During peak seasons, for LIVE music and other arranged events, Amundsen's Bar will be open for everyone to come and enjoy a refreshing drink, cold beer, or warmer beverage with a view over the beach, bay, and the beautiful mountains.
 
OBS. We do not have fixed opening hours for the bar, but please ask the staff if you would like something from the bar, and we will arrange it.
We are working on getting food service started on site, but we do not have it yet - so please bring your own food to cook. 
 
 
The lodge was previously a historical fishing and trading station, but today it is a charming accommodation with a maritin theme, and modern facilities – perfect for housing one to 29 people.
If you want to experience the Northern Light in our dome, experience a whalesafari on our wodden sailboat 'Alma', do an eaglesafari in Trollfjord, sit in a woodfired hottub and have a beer or a glass of wine from Amundsen Bar, try out our sauna and go and bath in the arctic waters afterwards, or you might want to arrange a konference, wedding, birthsday celebration,or a company party or teambuilding - give us a mail or a call, and let's talk posibilities.
